On a recent trip to Dusseldorf, our brewer Henry was lucky enough to try the Schlussel Stike served by its brewmaster on one of the only two occasions a year it is available. He came back to Worthing inspired and clutching a whispered recipe.

A stronger, richer version of an Alt Beer, Sticke Bier takes it's name from the secret gossiping that surrounds the release of a rare batch. Deep dark caramel aromas and flavours lead into smooth rich raisin and warming fruit notes. Full bodied and smooth drinking with a thick creamy head, an assertive bite of clean, German Perle hops keeps Sparren refreshing and moreish.
