Wiener Dawg Helps Fight Poverty In The UK

A percentage of profits from the sales of Wiener Dawg Vienna Lager goes to The Trussell Trust.

Ben says “With this project, I'm supporting The Trussell Trust. Working with 1300+ food banks nationwide to help fight UK poverty, the trust’s goal is to end the need for these food banks entirely and put proper food on people's plates. They go beyond just feeding those in need, providing an essential support network to folks trapped in the cycle of poverty, offering routes to a better quality of life. I know the rising cost of living is felt by everyone, but it hits some harder than others. If some of us are eating, drinking and smiling, then all of us should be. So, pick up a can or two and help put an end to UK poverty. Wiener Dawgs for all!”

Words from Hand

We’ve been following Ben’s journey in food for years and we’re always excited to hear and read about his adventures. It’s such an incredible career to follow - he really is an inspiration.

From his first cooking gig in Brooklyn, New York, followed by stints in restaurants including 64 Degrees (Brighton), Elystan Street (London), Marion (Melbourne, Australia) & Orasay (London), Ben made the leap to food media, working for Waitrose magazine and the online food powerhouse, Mob. Ben has become a respected master of modern cookery, taste and flavour. He even has his own honey product, Dr Sting’s Hot Honey, which is good on pretty much everything!

Recently, Ben launched his How I Cook newsletter. The Hand team pore over it for incredible recipes, how and where to buy excellent ingredients, food prep tricks and kitchen tips, and even music to cook to and books to read. It’s such an excellent resource for lovers of great food and drink.

We invited Ben to join the Art You Can Drink line-up, and we’re super pumped and privileged to launch our collaboration, Wiener Dawg with him!

Ben invited his friend and incredible illustration collaborator, Sophie Winder, to work on the Wiener Dawg artwork. Look out for Wiener Dawg merch including glassware, tea towels and more.
